About Us

OUR STORY

Founded in 1992, the Lebanese Association for Energy Saving and for Environment (ALMEE) is a non-political, non-profit organization established in response to the growing need for structured action in the fields of energy and the environment in Lebanon. From its early beginnings, ALMEE positioned itself as an independent platform bringing together expertise, dialogue, and cooperation.

Over time, the organization expanded its scope and geographical reach, developing a strong presence at national, regional, and international levels. ALMEE has built lasting relationships with institutions, experts, and partners, allowing it to grow into a trusted and credible actor within its field.

Today, ALMEE’s story reflects more than three decades of continuity, institutional development, and commitment to collaboration, shaping its identity as a long-standing organization rooted in experience and collective engagement.

Our Vision

For over three decades, ALMEE has worked at the intersection of science, innovation, and policy, driving forward Lebanon’s transition toward a more sustainable, low-carbon, and resource-efficient future.

Our Mission

ALMEE develops, promotes, and implements scientific and technical approaches that improve energy management, foster renewable energy adoption, and support the ecological transition across all sectors of society.
