Renewable Energy Development

As a pioneer in promoting clean energy solutions in Lebanon and the Mediterranean region, ALMEE has been actively advancing the deployment of renewable energy technologies for more than three decades. Its work in this area focuses on fostering a sustainable and decentralized energy transition that enhances national energy security, reduces dependence on fossil fuels, and mitigates greenhouse gas emissions.

The Renewable Energy Development program aims to accelerate the adoption of renewable sources such as solar, wind, biomass, hydropower, and biofuels, while creating enabling frameworks for local authorities, industries, and citizens to invest in clean energy systems.

Through its Ecological Transition & Climate Action program, ALMEE works with municipalities, institutions, and international partners to design and implement integrated strategies that reduce greenhouse gas emissions, improve resource efficiency, and strengthen community resilience to environmental challenges.

Through its projects and partnerships, ALMEE plays a key role in transforming renewable energy ambitions into actionable, replicable, and scalable models for sustainable development.
