PartnersMediterranean agricultural and energy research consortium
OVERVIEW

About the Project

RAMSES addresses the damaging impact of rising fossil fuel prices on agriculture in Mediterranean farming communities. Modern agriculture is heavily dependent on fossil fuels for vehicles, machines, and processors, and farmers on the southern bank of the Mediterranean have been particularly affected. The project provides rural communities with an integrated solar power system including battery storage, usable to power an all-purpose agricultural vehicle.

Project Objectives

Reduce agricultural dependence on fossil fuels in Mediterranean rural communities. Develop an integrated solar power system for agricultural use. Provide affordable and reliable energy solutions for farmers. Support sustainable agricultural practices through renewable energy. Empower rural communities on the southern Mediterranean bank.
